In Review: The House version of the delinking bill, HB 2773 failed to pass out of the Labor and Commerce Subcommittee. Both the House and Senate versions of the delinking bill have been defeated and will not become law. In addition to the delinking proposals, below is a list of other bills PCMA and other stakeholders helped defeat. They include:
- SB 1359 – relating to banning mail-order prescriptions, steering
- HB 1670 – copay cap of $60 for epi-pens
- HB 1956 – refuse to fill, lesser of logic
- HB 2106 – allow pharmacists to override a denial code or request an override for drugs for the treatment of sickle cell
- HB 2107 – prohibit white bagging, steering, pharmacy networks, mail order
- HB 2329 – formulary transparency and generic biosimilar mandate
- HB 2378 – therapeutic drug dispensing in the event of outdated drugs
- HB 2380 – PBM working group to examine the impact on Rutledge PCMA.
Up Next: PCMA is continuing to monitor a few bills, including one relating to step therapy and the other on PDAB creation. The deadline for bills to crossover is Tuesday, February 4, and the session ends on Saturday, February 22.
