In Review: The current Attorney General, Jason Miyares (R), and the Democratic candidate for Attorney General, Jay Jones (D), each took opportunities last week to attack PBMs. AG Miyares announced an investigation into PBMs and drug manufacturers over insulin pricing. At a stop in Charlottesville, Democratic candidate for AG, Jay Jones, stated “he’s zooming in on lowering healthcare costs by cracking down on pharmacy benefit managers, aggressively prosecuting pharmaceutical companies for price-fixing and other “predatory practices”.”
