In Review: Last week, Thursday, February 1, the Senate Health and Human Resources Committee held a hearing on Senate Bill 453, relating to PBMs that administer the Public Employee Insurance Agency prescription drug benefits. PCMA provided a memo to members of the committee for information only, highlighting the importance of ensuring the continued use of spread pricing in the commercial market.

Up Next: The Senate Health and Human Resources Committee sent Senate Bill 453 to the Finance Committee. It is expected that the bill will have amendments made to it. PCMA will continue to monitor the bill and work to ensure that unfriendly amendments to the PBM industry are added or adopted.
