In Review: Last week, SB 492, relating to coverage of non-opioid drugs, was given a public hearing in the Senate Committee on Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention, and Children and Families. PCMA provided testimony in opposition to the bill. As you may recall, this bill was introduced on October 2 and given a hearing five days later. PCMA is following up with the committee members to reinforce our concerns and ascertain if a quick vote out of committee is expected.
Also, SB 203, the anti-PBM ‘kitchen sink bill’ is not scheduled for a vote during next week’s floor vote.
