Wyoming Weekly Update 2.26.24

In Review: Last Monday, HB 14 (Prior Authorization/Gold Carding/Step Therapy) unanimously passed out the House and was sent to the Senate. Discussions and a meeting with the stakeholders and the Board of Medicine took place last Wednesday and language was agreed upon which just sets forth what is already in state law. Last Friday, the bill was heard in the Senate Labor, Health, and Social Services Committee and was adopted with amendments. Last Tuesday, SF 100 (Prompt Payment) was heard in the Senate Corporations, Elections & Political Subdivisions Committee. PCMA, health insurers, and the Wyoming Pharmacy Association all testified that this language was agreed upon and the bill was supported by all parties. The bill passed unanimously out of committee, was heard on the Senate floor on Friday, and passed unanimously.

Up Next: PCMA will be watching HB 14 to make sure there are no amendments while it is debated on the floor of the Senate.
