Wyoming Weekly Update 3.12.24

In Review: Last Monday, there was a hearing on SF 100 (Prompt Payment) in the House Corporations, Elections & Political Subdivisions Committee. The hearing had all the stakeholders (including PCMA, Cigna, CVS, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming) indicating their support of the negotiated bill language. It was noted by several legislators that it was nice that both sides were able to work together, and the bill unanimously passed the committee. Last Wednesday, an amendment was filed to SF 100, prior to the bill’s Second Reading on the House Floor. This was not approved by the stakeholders and was withdrawn, due to the work by the lobbyists on the ground. The bill passed the House unanimously last Thursday. There was a bill signing by Governor Mark Gordon (R) last Monday on HB 14 (Prior Authorization/Gold Carding/Step Therapy). Last Friday evening, the 2024 legislature adjourned sine die.
