In Review: Last evening the Legislative Services Office announced that the legislators rejected a proposal for a special session by a vote of 50-43. The Senate voted 16-15 in support, and the House rejected by a vote of 35-27. There was a great deal of discussion surrounding this and further information can be found in the Cowboy State Daily.

Up Next: Today, Management Council will be meeting to assign interim committee topics and consider topics. There is a proposed topic of “Pharmacology” in the Joint Labor, Health & Social Services Committee, see page 19, that includes step therapy, regulation of medical coverage of obesity-related medical treatments, and access to alternatives to opioids for safe pain management.
