The PCMA Annual Meeting 2023 took place at the Arizona Biltmore, in Phoenix, AZ on October 2-3.
The Annual Meeting is the industry’s premier executive conference. The event is tailored specifically for senior executives from PBMs and their affiliated business partners – most notable drug manufacturers. We’ve designed the Annual Meeting to be an important part of your business strategy and we are proud of the unique value that the conference offers.

10:15 am – 10:45 am Value Assessments in the Era of CMS Drug Price Negotiations Sarah Emond, President-Elect, Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER) Moderator: Ian Spatz, National Advisor, Manatt Health The legislation authorizing CMS to negotiate to prices of prescription drugs lays out the factors that CMS can consider in determining a Maximum Fair Price, and CMS has public guidance on how it is interpreting that legislative language. However, many questions remain on exactly what sources of information CMS will use, and how it will weigh the different sources of information in making its initial price offerings. In this session, hear how the results of value assessments may or may not be used CMS, and see the results of a special value assessment on two of the drugs that made the list of drugs to be negotiated next year.
