PCMA PAC

PCMA’s political action committee (PAC) is the nonpartisan PAC of PCMA, and the only PAC dedicated solely to representing the voice of the PBM industry at the federal level.  PCMA’s PAC creates the opportunity for the association to provide financial support to political candidates.  It is a crucial tool for us to:

PCMA PAC is allowed to give up to $3,300 per election to candidates for federal office. It may accept contributions of up to $5,000 per year from U.S. citizens and permanent residents or other PACs.

The PCMA PAC supports candidates for office who are engaged on healthcare policy issues, with a focus on facilitating affordable access to prescription drugs.

All individual contributions must be made from personal funds and may not be reimbursed by any other person. Contributions must be made from a personal and not a corporate credit card. Contributions from foreign nationals who are not lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. are prohibited.

Contributions to the PAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal tax purposes. Contributions to the PAC are used for political purposes.  Contributions are voluntary and you may choose whether or how much to give without concern of favor, disadvantage, or reprisal by PCMA. The suggested contribution levels shown above are merely suggestions, and you may contribute more or less (up to $5,000 per year) than the suggestions.

  • Promote the legislative goals of the PBM industry;
  • Promote the value of the PBM industry; and
  • Improve the chances that candidates that are well informed about the PBM industry will be elected to Congress.
