On Monday we announced our intention to proceed with the 2020 sPCMA Business Forum on March 16 & 17 in Orlando. Since that time, we have closely monitored the health and safety guidance from the CDC and WHO, as well as the travel advisories of our member and sponsor companies. Numerous factors have become clear since Monday that make it necessary to cancel the Business Forum scheduled for March 16 & 17.

“We are grateful for the immense amount of work that has gone into preparations for this event, not just by PCMA staff, but also the conference speakers and presenters, and each one of our attendees as they prepared to be on site for business meetings and networking,” said JC Scott, President & CEO of PCMA. “This hard work is what makes our events a success. However, the PCMA Board of Directors met today to affirm our recommendation that proceeding with this year’s event would put the health and welfare of our attendees and their employers at unacceptable risk.”

“PCMA and everyone in our industry values the important partnerships that are fostered at this meeting each year. We look forward to the next opportunity to come together to continue the important dialogue about patient access to affordable prescription drugs,” said Alan Lotvin, M.D., Chairman of the PCMA Board of Directors, President, CVS Caremark and Executive Vice President, CVS Health.

We’d like to thank our attendees for their patience this week as we monitored and assessed the dynamics of the situation. In the coming days we will explore the feasibility of rebooking and alternative approaches to hosting this conference.  Questions regarding registration fees and sponsorships will be addressed as soon as we are able to make these decisions.  If you have any immediate concerns, you may contact Kayla Firriolo (kfirriolo@pcmanet.org) or Jenny Bradham (jbradham@pcmanet.org).

Thank you.
